This book is aimed at anyone who is interested in the Hsunchen, the shape-changing totem animal peoples of the world of Glorantha. Twenty-two Hsunchen tribes living in the western and central parts of the continent of Genertela are described across 170 pages, alongside extensive information regarding their culture, myth, technology, magic and more. The book explains how to create a Hsunchen adventurer, gives tips on using them as adventurers or as non-player characters, ideas for high-level campaigns, and even information on Hsunchen Heroquesting! Appendices provide the author’s notes, answers to Hsunchen Q&A, a spells index, Hsunchen mega-list and more.
This book is for anyone who would like to feature the black elves of Glorantha in their RuneQuest game, and who wants more detail on this somewhat “alien” race. The contents include an introduction and overview; the culture, biology, society, psychology, technology and occupations of black elves, including character generation; mythology; the cult of Mee Vorala; what the shaman says; a voralan bestiary; fungal diseases; fungi and fungal products; and appendices.
Have you ever been surprised to discover a product you can buy for RuneQuest or Glorantha that you hadn’t previously even known existed? If so … then this Unofficial Buyer’s Guide is probably for you. This guide aims to list and describe everything that is currently available to buy, or that you can get for free.
A snow storm rises upon the hills. A fire demon is freed from its prison. The Winter King comes, seeking those who will travel on the Other Side to drive back the enemies of Winter. This short adventure for RuneQuest takes the adventurers on a Heroquest into the heart of Winter itself – to the very northernmost edge of the world, Valind’s kingdom.
This book collects sixty “What my Elders Told Me” texts, illuminating the cultures of Glorantha through the voices of the world’s inhabitants. This collection assembles several texts from long out-of-print sources; texts from other books previously published on the Jonstown Compendium; and several that are previously unpublished, many of which have been written specially for this volume. These are accompanied by a mix of previously-published art, as well as a great deal of brand new art, not seen before. It is a tribute not just to the richness and depth of the fictional world of Glorantha, but also to the creativity and diversity of its fan community: those Jonstown Voices.
QuestWorlds-on-a-Page is my attempt to make visual sense of the rules for Chaosium’s genre-agnostic narrative roleplaying system, QuestWorlds. It consists of nine one-page flowcharts and a one-page rules summary, aimed at beginning players and GMs to get you quickly up-to-speed with the main QuestWorlds concepts and systems.
My 36-page bibliography lists articles and essays by and about Greg Stafford, APAs, magazines, ephemera, fiction, interviews, seminars, and (of course) games, with a timeline of key publications. It is intended to be comprehensive, so if I’ve missed something, please let me know.
